Get Well Soon Typeface
Titled ‘gws’, this modular typeface is inspired by pills that are used treat mental disorders. The shapes within the typeface are made to mimic the forms of the pills that are associated with treating depression and anxiety.
This typeface is printed on an A1 sheet with acrylic paint using the stencils created for this specific typeface.
Area of focus
To design a typeface using only modular shapes that can be turned into a stencil. The goal was to keep the forms consistent while allowing flexibility in how they come together.
Solution
The result is a typeface called GWS (Get Well Soon), inspired by the shapes of pills used to treat mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. Each letter is made up of simple, pill-like forms. Stencils were created with plastic acrylic sheets, and the final design was printed on an A1 sheet using acrylic paint to be presented.
